I called in this morning for coffee and a scone. I was absolutely delighted with the service from Conor, and the delicious coffee and scone, served with butter, jam, cream and a dusting of icing sugar. The hotel is beautifully clean, and the staff are lovely. Definitely deserves more than 3 stars!

All in working order nothing special. Building appears to be in good knick, as one would expect for a large chain; certainly no charm or personality. Bar downstairs is bland and clinical. The manager (Noel I think) was friendly and the food was good, as was the Guinness! I was put in an accessible room (which I would find strange unless requested or a full house). This was also an interconnecting room. The bathroom was pleasantly large but more of a 'wet room'. The floors were dirty and the showerhead was pretty gross. All the bedroom doors slam loudly in the corridors. Everything just meh. Did the job.

The hotel was so Lovely staff are friendly but one staff in particular is Louise she was very chatty to myself and my friends when we just wanted a drink in the bar. 10 out of 10 to Louise she deserves a big raise

Louise in the bar was very chatty very helpful she asked us where we are from she said Galway and she said she’ll be travelling to Galway soon for a nice city break away. 10 out of 10 to Louise she deserves a raise.

I got in late because I was performing a late night concert in the city and I was stuck for a place to stay because a booking at an AirBnB got messed up by the host and I'd trouble finding more reasonably priced accommodation at such short notice, so I only got to sleep in the early hours. And what should happen at around 7am onwards, which resulted in not getting anywhere near enough sleep? - Loads of people (possibly from that young sports team I heard about who were staying there) opening and allowing their doors to slam shut, meaning I couldn't get any more sleep that I badly needed, and that's the primary reason I needed to stay in the hotel, so I cannot honestly say I was satisfied with it. Why are the doors fitted with such strong springs that automatically close the door loudly? It makes no sense for a place that's primarily supposed to be a relaxing place to sleep, no?, or am I 'taking crazy pills'? These guests were obviously oblivious and totally inconsiderate of the doors they could've easily prevented from banging, but I also think it's partly the hotels fault for installing doors that bang shut unless someone holds the handle to soften it's otherwise loud closing. Maybe someone could see fit to retrofit some small adhesive thin ***** of a type padding on the frame where the door meets the frame so that it dampens the impact considerably. It would be a relatively cheap measure to mitigate the negative consequences of the feature. I've installed 3cm long adhesive bits of window insulation on a few doors at home to achieve this and it works. A roll of that is super cheap and there's loads of it when one considers how little one needs for each door. I'm just mentioning this detail to prove it can be done and next-to-no cost. Room, bed, sheets, bathroom, water provided, etc., were all fine, but to get only around half the amount of sleep needed was not worth the €145 I paid for that night. I'm docking at least 3 stars for the seriously noisy banging doors of the rooms. After all, if you cannot sleep any more due to ceaseless banging at far too early a time (7am onwards) on a Saturday morning for someone who was working very late then what's that worth?

The hotel is clean and staff are nice and the pool is very good however, The state paying guests have a lovley area facing onto a small quite garden (confirmed by our taxi driver) whilst the full paying guests rooms are facing onto the main road where traffic is constant. With additional noise from the site across the road. The rooms are so warm with no thermostat you have no choice but to keep the windows open. The walls are paper thin room next to us had a party and it took 3 calls to reception before they did anything about it. The second night there was like a rave somewhere near until early morning. So what was supposed to be a relaxing break away has left me exhausted. If booking here please ensure you do not have a room at the front facing the road. Location is also 9 minutes drive into the city.
